Thank you so much for coming to our home and giving us so many wonderful ideas on where to place our pictures, clocks and other accessories. After redoing our walls and new carpet in the living room, dining room and great room, we were at a loss as to what to do next.

We have incorporated your colors and arrangements and have received so many compliments on our changes.

Also, for being truthful and genuine in your suggestions. You really were fun to work with and we enjoyed having you in our home.

"My husband & I needed help. We recently moved up to Boyne Country and merged 2 houses of furniture & art/accessories into one. We like our things and how we had used them so far. But the house seemed cluttered in areas and we couldn’t make it flow naturally. And my husband wanted a plan; he doesn’t like doing things haphazardly. I saw an ad in the newspaper for reSort/Redecorate, and decided to get an expert to help us.

Betty came in, analyzed what we had done so far and what we were planning to do, and got us started. She helped us develop a color plan throughout the house. She looked at my existing art/accessories, and relocated or rearranged them throughout the great room, master bedroom and bathroom. The results were incredible, and just what we needed! The mantel has a new uncluttered look that still captures my style. The master suite now has the finishing touches it needed with detail we hadn’t thought of, like glass doorknobs and lamps. The great room showcases my favorite art and accessories in a stylish, uncluttered manner. Betty also provided me a shopping list of accessories that we need to finish off different areas: urns, candlesticks, rugs, decorative plates, along with sizes/colors, etc.

In addition, Betty taught me to look at rooms, space and color differently. I have already started to make changes to our upstairs rooms, with a better eye for styling detail. My husband loves that we have a plan laid out that we can prioritize and implement as time and money permit. It was money well-spent; visible improvements right away, with a plan that fits our budget.

      "My living room and dining room passed the "girlfriend test!" Girlfriends came for coffee Saturday morning. I hung my Welcome Girlfriends sign that you gave me outside the door, which was a real hit. The first thing they all said was, "You have all new furniture!" I explained to them that it was all stuff I already had and they were amazed! They noticed my "new" dining room light fixture (which I've had for at least five years) and commented on how much larger the rooms looked. You were right, I had to store some of my treasures in order to draw attention to others. I'm so happy with it."

  "I was struggling for years to rearrange my home to have a more "finished" look, as well as use pieces I had collected or could not afford to replace. So I read "do it yourself" decorating books, web sites and watched hundreds of hours of decorating shows (to my husbands dismay!). And nothing to show for it. I spent MANY evenings sitting in my living room trying to visualize what I had learned with NO success. Unable to bring myself to paint a room something other than "off white", and unsure if I would like the result.We all have gifts - mine is evidentally not decorating, however Betty’s is. Her day long visit to my home was a wonderful experience and I was and continue to be very pleased with the results! "For several years we've been slowly remodeling our home, with a new kitchen and living room, new furniture, etc. I LOVE my kitchen, but could never make my living room feel quite right or flow into the kitchen, even though I like everything I have in it. When I saw Betty Spence's advertisement, I decided to give her a call. I think my first words to her were "I don't know if I can afford you, but..."

Betty knocked on my door and from the minute she entered my home I felt completely comfortable. We talked like we'd been friends forever, and she never stopped working. She took everything I had that was important to me and found the perfect place for it. She moved furniture and pulled it all together to make it look like an entirely different room. She worked all day until we were both completely satisfied. I can't believe the difference she made. I wanted my room to feel homey and comfortable. It's all of that and more. And, except for the price of her services (which, by the way, are VERY reasonable), I didn't have to buy a thing. I had everything in my home. I just didn't know how to use it. Our next room to do is our dining room and I can hardly wait to get Betty back here to do that too. She's the best, and I'd HIGHLY recommend her to anyone."

         "I had never heard about Interior Refiners until I was searching the internet for decorating help. Then I found Betty Spence's website! What a find! I have always been interested in decorating but wanted a "fresh eye" to help me "refine" what I already had. Upon contacting Betty we set up an appointment. I was somewhat apprehensive at having a stranger come to my house, but after 30 seconds of meeting her I knew I had made the right choice. Betty certainly has a fresh eye. She re-arranged my furniture so we could have a cozier conversation area, re-arranged my bookshelf and grouped items together as well as eliminated things in order to create a more cohesive balance. She added many other touches and suggestions that made the room complete. What a difference it made! Betty offers a fresh perspective in decorating!
